According to insider Sheng Zhe, after Qiu Biao’s resignation, former national team player Liu Wei will take over as the head coach of Xinjiang.

Liu Wei played for Xinjiang during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons and has a history with Xinjiang Guanghui. After retiring, he served as an assistant coach for the national team, but following the departure of Coach Jokic, Liu Wei is no longer in that position.
