On July 1st, insider Jake Fischer reported that Klay Thompson is anticipated to decide between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Fischer stated that if winning is the priority, Thompson might opt for Dallas. There are also indications that Thompson could be willing to accept a $13 million Mid-Level Exception to sign with either the Lakers or the Clippers.
Previous reports had indicated that Thompson was seeking a sign-and-trade departure from the Warriors and was scheduled to meet with the Mavericks, Lakers, Clippers, and 76ers.
