On August 5, US national basketball team coach Kerr spoke about the absence of Holiday in the last group match.
Previously, Holiday was sidelined due to an ankle injury. However, Kerr expressed optimism that he will be available for the game against Brazil: “He could have played in the previous game, but it wasn’t a knockout match. We wanted him to rest for one night and give him extra days to recover.”
