Recently, former WBC cruiserweight champion Briton Tony Belou (30-3-1, 20 KO) told the media that current IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KO) is unlikely to defeat Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KO), as Joshua outshines him in every aspect.
Tony Belou said, “Dubois has a 10% chance of beating Joshua. No, 10% would be unfair; 20% is reasonable. I acknowledge that Dubois is an excellent boxer, and his fight against Filip Hrgović (17-1, 14 KO) proved my judgment of him was entirely wrong. Dubois is strong. But when we compare their abilities across the board, wherever Dubois excels, Joshua excels even more. Joshua’s speed, power, and technique slightly surpass those of Dubois. Dubois only matches Joshua in stamina and close combat skills, perhaps having a slight edge in stamina. However, Dubois doesn’t hit as hard as Joshua, so his fights are likely to last longer than Joshua’s.”
Joshua will challenge Dubois for his IBF heavyweight title on September 21st. Currently, the odds stand at 1-4, with Joshua being the favorite.
