Frankfurt Official: If Malmo Continues High Scoring Rate, We Can't Stop Him from Being Poached

Last season, Egyptian forward Malmo scored 17 goals and provided 6 assists in 41 appearances for Frankfurt. This performance also attracted the interest of Premier League clubs such as Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window. However, Malmo ultimately decided to stay with Frankfurt. Since the start of the new season, Malmo has been in top form, becoming one of the most sought-after forwards in European football.

This season so far, Malmo has made 9 appearances (6 in the Bundesliga, 1 in the DFB-Pokal, and 2 in the Europa League), during which he has scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists. His current form and performance have made him a target of interest for several major clubs.

According to British media reports, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all shown strong interest in Malmo. It is well known that Arsenal needs to strengthen their attack, which is the main reason for their interest in Malmo. Liverpool sees Malmo as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. As for Manchester United, they are eager to upgrade their squad to reverse their current unfavorable situation. It is reported that Malmo is open to joining the Premier League, and he may receive formal offers from some Premier League giants in the coming months.

In response to the attention from multiple top clubs, Markus Krösche, a board member of Eintracht Frankfurt, stated: “We don’t want to lose Malmo, but if he continues his current high-scoring performance, we obviously can’t stop him from being poached. Malmo is playing better and better, and he still has a lot of room for development. Undoubtedly, we want team stability and don’t want to lose key players, but it’s also a good thing that everyone talks about Malmo after every game.”

Currently, Malmo leads the Bundesliga scoring charts with 8 goals, ahead of forwards like Harry Kane. On October 19, in the 7th round of the Bundesliga, Frankfurt will travel to face Bayer Leverkusen.
