Regarding jL’s win of the PGL Copenhagen Major MVP, Thorin expresses his disagreement. In his opinion, the current statistical system has flaws and fails to capture the entire picture of the tournament.
“The current rating and data systems are not perfect; they don’t reflect the context of kills, their significance in the match, or how they altered the course of the game.
Many times, without Ihor Zhdanov | w0nderful’s performance, Natus Vincere would have lost. But based on stats and their semi-final match against G2 on map three, everyone is saying jL is the Event MVP.
We should distinguish between the Event MVP and the Final MVP. Then, w0nderful would be the Major MVP, not jL!”
