The recent transfer period might not have seen the earth-shattering roster shuffles that many had hoped for, but a series of exciting lineup adjustments have still taken place as teams vie to become the best in the game.
In pursuit of this goal, whether through minor tweaks or complete overhauls of previous rosters, success and failure may well accompany these endeavors into the future.
We asked the official commentators, analysts, and hosts of BLAST Premier to predict which reshuffled team will find success in the second half of 2024. Let’s take a look at their predictions.
The analyst team’s predictions are as follows:
Anders: Virtus.pro
Despite Denis Sharipov | electroNic’s struggles with consistency in the first half of the year, I still consider him a valuable addition to VP.
Pimp: Watching and Waiting
Roster changes continue, but we haven’t seen some of the blockbuster moves yet. It seems we’re on a timeline where many teams are relatively content with their current lineups, believing they aren’t far off from the top-tier competition.
No one is dominating right now, and any team in the Top 10-12 has a shot at winning big tournaments within the next six months.
So, my answer is to watch and wait. Some teams will disappoint, while others might make more practical and impactful moves.
Tech Girl: Liquid and Cloud9
The addition of Justin Savage | jks to Liquid is an exciting move. I’m thrilled to see him back in top-level CS action and curious about how he’ll perform in the new version of CS.
However, I’m not sure if this is the most successful roster change, as Liquid has other areas that need improvement.
The signing of Nikita Martynenko | HeavyGod by Cloud9 is also a highly rated move in my book. In fact, I think the entire C9 roster rebuild was successful.
launders: None
I don’t think any team will achieve significant success based on the recent transfers.
Maniac: HEROIC
HEROIC’s swap of degster for nicoodoz is possibly the best “upgrade” I can imagine right now. This significantly boosts the team’s firepower, and the new member has already proven his ability to take over games in his previous team.
I’m looking forward to seeing degster’s synergy with the rest of the squad, especially with in-game leader Damjan Stoilkovski | kyxsan, to fully unlock the latter’s potential under optimal conditions.
