On November 18, according to The Sports Nippon, Takefusa Kubo said during a training session at the Egret Stadium that the grass pitch was not good and felt like artificial turf.
The report states that Kubo told Japanese journalists: “Although it didn’t rain today and there wasn’t anything noticeably wrong, I don’t really like the grass here. It feels like artificial turf. However, if the maintenance work such as watering is done properly, the ball shouldn’t get stuck in the grass when dribbling.”
