On November 22, in the first round of the Mexican Liga BBVA Apertura playoffs, Chivas hosted Atlas.
Half-time Report
In the 7th minute, Guzman took a set-piece from the left side and sent it into the box, where Beltran controlled the ball and shot just wide of the goal.
In the 16th minute, Castillo passed the ball from the left flank, and Beltran adjusted before shooting, but his attempt went wide.
In the 20th minute, Doria took a powerful free-kick, which Rangel failed to hold onto. Aguilar and Garcia’s follow-up shots were both blocked.
In the 31st minute, Aguilar attempted a difficult shot from the front of the field, but it was blocked out for a corner.
In the 37th minute, Beltran delivered a cross from the right flank, and Hernandez headed it on, but Guzman failed to connect with the ball.
In the final moments of the first half, Zaldivar had to be substituted due to an injury, with Murillo coming on in his place.
