On November 21, the Belgian Professional Football Disciplinary Committee fined Saint-Gilloise 3,500 euros for releasing flares during a match.
It is reported that before the match against Bruges, the players observed a one-minute silence to mourn a deceased fan named Smiles, who was 34 years old. At the 34th minute, fans set off approximately 40 flares.
Despite the circumstances, the disciplinary committee maintained a zero-tolerance policy and fined Saint-Gilloise 3,500 euros.
