On November 22, Sevilla FC captain Jesús Navas celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday. The club has announced that they will hold a farewell ceremony for Navas on December 30 this year.

Previously, Navas himself had announced that he would retire at the end of this year, due to severe hip injuries that have plagued him over the years, leading him to ultimately decide to leave professional football.

The club stated that they will host a special farewell ceremony for Navas at 5 PM local time on December 30. This will be the moment when Navas bids farewell to Sevilla, and it will also be a day for the club and all fans to pay tribute to this legendary player.

Navas came through the youth ranks at Sevilla FC and represented the first team from 2003 to 2013. He then joined Manchester City before returning to Sevilla in 2017, where he has played ever since.

He has won four Europa League titles, two Spanish Copa del Rey titles, and two Spanish Super Cup titles with the club. On the international stage, Navas has also claimed the 2010 World Cup with Spain, as well as the 2012 and 2024 European Championships.
