According to Spanish media Every Body, Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong was in tears in the locker room during half-time of the match against Real Sociedad due to knee pain.
In the early hours of November 11, Barcelona lost 0-1 to Real Sociedad in a La Liga match. In the 25th minute, De Jong suffered a knee injury during a tackle and looked extremely painful. Subsequently, Barcelona’s head coach Flick replaced De Jong with Olmo.
Post-match examinations revealed that De Jong only suffered a blow to his left tibia without any significant injury. The player was substituted as a precautionary measure.
