L'Équipe: Rennes Considering Rudy Garcia to Replace Stéphan

According to L’Équipe, after the team’s 0-4 defeat away to Auxerre in this round, the Rennes management is more strongly considering the idea of dismissing head coach Julien Stéphan and is interested in appointing Rudy Garcia as the new head coach.

Following this painful loss, Rennes has a record of 3 wins, 2 draws, and 5 losses in the first 10 rounds of the Ligue 1 season, currently accumulating 11 points and ranking 13th in the league table.

At the age of 44, Stéphan joined Rennes in 2012 and gained coaching experience with the U19 and reserve teams. He first took charge of the Rennes first team from December 2018 to March 2021. After that, he moved to Strasbourg and returned to Rennes in November 2023. His current contract with Rennes runs until the summer of 2026.
