Chiellini made his first appearance at the 31st European Club Association (ECA) Congress in Athens, representing Juventus in an executive capacity.
Chiellini stated, “Juventus being here to participate in the congress represents a restart, much like starting a new cycle in the league. I am very happy to be part of this and to gradually contribute my efforts: for me, it’s all a new discovery.”
“I have met many familiar faces here and listened to some in-depth discussions, which are very interesting. For me, everything is a new discovery. I am very happy to be here and gradually learning new things.”
“I like the new Champions League format. The first two rounds were very interesting, with many matches. Now you start paying attention to other results, not just your own group’s outcomes. We will better understand all of this in the upcoming matches, and for me, it’s a daily discovery, and the direction is right.”
“Previously, I worked at the training ground, having been on that path for many years, but now it has changed. Starting a new journey in the same field is interesting and motivating, but in a different direction. I will gradually discover what this will be, and it’s still early days.”
The 31st ECA Congress was held in Athens, the largest such event organized by the European Club Association to date. Delegations from over 700 European clubs participated, with thousands of attendees including chairmen, managers, and former players who have made football history. This ECA Congress is particularly significant for Italy, as it marks Juventus’ return after three and a half years. Juventus was represented in Athens by Scarnavino (CEO), Calvo (Director of Revenue and Institutional Relations), and Chiellini (Head of Football Institutional Relations).
