November 22, AC Milan’s Technical Director Jeffrey Moncada recently gave an interview to MilanNews.it.
Moncada said, “Fonseca’s football style is exactly what we believe Milan should have. We play at San Siro, and we should control the game and possession. In these aspects, we should be solid. Fonseca is a hardworking coach, and his training sessions are very interesting, with both individual and team drills. For example, I’ve seen him conduct some specialized training with four or five midfielders after regular training. It’s now November, and I believe by the end of the season, we will see many players make significant progress under his guidance.”
“The top five teams in Europe include Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and others. We hope to get as close to these teams as possible, but it’s not easy. Liverpool took eight years to reach this level because it wasn’t like that before. They needed a strategy and a coach with a very clear methodology. We hope to achieve the same with a coach who has a clear philosophy and can develop players.”
