According to Sky Sports, AC Milan forward Alvaro Morata collided with teammate Pavlovic during a training session on Thursday, resulting in a head injury that required him to be taken to a hospital in the Milan Legnano area.
Sources reveal that Morata’s injuries are quite serious, and the MRI results were not favorable. He will need to stay overnight at the hospital for more detailed observation by doctors. It is almost certain that he will miss AC Milan’s Serie A match against Cagliari on November 10, which is the 11th round of the league.
Morata transferred from Atletico Madrid to AC Milan this summer, signing a four-year contract. However, so far, his performances in various competitions have not met expectations, scoring only 3 goals in 12 appearances.
However, on November 6, Morata scored a goal in the Champions League match against Real Madrid, helping AC Milan secure a 3-1 victory. Interestingly, Real Madrid seems to be Morata’s favorite target, as he has scored a total of 7 goals against his former club, more than any other team.
Sky Sports points out that Milan’s coach had already considered giving Morata a rest to provide opportunities for other players. Abraham, Jovic, and Camarda are all available to play.
