On June 28, Denmark will face Germany in the Round of 16 of the European Championship.
Former German football legend Michael Ballack had stated that Denmark was the weakest team in Group C. In response, Danish striker Poulsen hit back: “The Germans underestimate us. Let’s put it this way, no one wants to meet us in the first round of the knockouts. I have former club teammates on the German team, and they think the same when we chat.”
Commenting on Denmark’s two goals scored in the group stage, Poulsen said: “We did score too few goals in the group matches, and that’s something we need to change immediately. We might not get many chances, so we must seize every opportunity to score.”
