On June 29, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is in discussions with UEFA regarding the use of Camp Nou.
UEFA regulations stipulate that once a home venue is registered for a Champions League group stage season, it cannot be changed. However, Barcelona has played its early group matches at the Montjuïc Stadium due to renovations at Camp Nou.
It is reported that the club’s management is in dialogue with UEFA, hoping for an exception to allow the return to Camp Nou for the final group stage fixture, should the stadium be ready.
Notably, Barcelona has already started selling season tickets for next season, with the first four home Champions League group stage matches still listed as taking place at the Montjuïc Stadium.
