July 6 – According to Egyptian media reports, 31-year-old national team player Ahmed Refaat passed away last night. He had previously suffered a heart attack during a match in March last year.
It is reported that since he regained consciousness from the cardiac arrest, his health had deteriorated, leading to his unfortunate demise last night.
During his career, Refaat had played for Future FC in the Egyptian Premier League and had won the U20 African Cup with his team.
