According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has officially agreed to take the helm at Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad, sealing a three-year contract – here we go!
Last season, Al-Ittihad finished fifth in the Saudi league with 16 wins, six draws, and 12 losses. This was not quite as expected for a team boasting stars like Benzema, Kante, and Fabinho.
The previous coach, Gabriel Gallego, was recently relieved of his duties. Now, Pioli will assume the role of head coach starting from the new season.
Romano reveals that Al-Ittihad is thrilled about the signing, convinced that Pioli is the perfect fit for the managerial position. The club and the coach are set to embark on a new era together.
