July 2nd – Fenerbahçe, a Turkish Super Lig team, has announced the signing of Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu from Atlético Madrid on a contract running until 2027.
The 28-year-old centre-back was on loan at Fenerbahçe, a Turkish powerhouse, for the second half of last season. He joined Atlético Madrid from Leicester City in 2023 but made only nine appearances for the Spanish club.
The Turkish international previously featured 132 times for Leicester City and missed this summer’s European Championship due to injury.
Turkey will face Austria in the Round of 16 on July 3rd at 03:00 AM.
