Today, the Korea Football Association (KFA) officially announced that current Ulsan HD manager Hong Myung-bo has been named the new head coach of the South Korean national team.
A press conference will be held tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. to formally introduce Hong in his new role.
The 55-year-old Hong, a former renowned international player for South Korea, participated in the 2002 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by South Korea and Japan. After retiring, he managed various Korean youth teams and led the national squad to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
