According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on July 6th, Borussia Dortmund have activated the €17.5 million buyout clause for Gillaș and are close to finalizing a transfer agreement.
Previously, Romano had reported that, “Dortmund have the player’s permission. Gillaș has accepted their contract offer, with the remaining steps to follow. The club will pay a €17.5m release clause to Stuttgart.”
The 28-year-old Guinean forward, Gillaș, scored 30 goals and provided 3 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Stuttgart last season.
