On July 2, Eintracht Frankfurt officially announced the signing of 18-year-old striker Uzun from German second division club Nürnberg. The deal runs until June 30, 2029.
Frankfurt Statement:
Last season, Uzun was one of Nürnberg’s key players, scoring 19 goals and providing 4 assists in 32 matches, with 16 goals and 2 assists in the league, making a significant impact. At just 18, he was one of the top scorers in the 2. Bundesliga.
Uzun holds both German and Turkish citizenship. So far, he has featured in 14 games for Turkey’s U17 and U18 teams, scoring 7 goals. In September last year, at age 17, he was first called up to the Turkey U21 national team, and by the end of March, he made his debut under head coach Vincenzo Montella.
