Rooney said, “I think England played very well in their last match against the Netherlands, and they deserved the win. The final will be a thrilling game, with many young talents on the pitch. I’m sure it will be an exciting match, with a close scoreline, but I think the England team might just come out on top.”
When discussing Southgate’s potential starting lineup, Rooney added, “I think Gareth will do the same thing (as in the semi-final against the Netherlands), but I think Luke Shaw might start, with the rest of the lineup remaining unchanged.”
