On July 10, according to the latest report from French media outlet L’Equipe, Manchester United has offered Lille a bid of €50 million plus add-ons for the 17-year-old French defender Goulo, an offer that significantly exceeds Real Madrid’s previous total offer of €40 million.
According to this journalist named Nabil Djellit, Real Madrid is still far from reaching an agreement with Lille. The player’s primary wish is to join Real Madrid, but Manchester United is applying pressure on both the player and the club.
As reported by Spanish media outlet AS, Real Madrid intends to convince Lille to accept their offer, which amounts to €35 million, plus various bonuses based on appearances and honors. However, Manchester United has now “interfered.” Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are also interested in this Lille player but have not yet made any formal offers to the French club.
This summer, Manchester United appears to have different defensive reinforcement plans, including De Ligt and Everton’s young central defender Branthwaite. According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United has reached a verbal agreement with De Ligt’s side.
