The final of the Euro 2024 tournament is set to kick off in the early hours of July 15, and prior to the match, foreign data agencies have used their supercomputers to predict the outcome of this game.
The supercomputer conducted 10,000 simulations for the match between Spain and England, and the ultimate conclusion was that Spain is more likely to lift the Euro championship trophy once again.
According to the simulation results, Spain has a 40.5% chance of defeating England within the 90 minutes of regular time, while England’s win rate stands at 29%, with an additional possibility of 30.5% for a draw between the two sides.
In extra time and penalty shootouts, Spain remains the favored side, with the supercomputer estimating that Spain will have a 60.4% chance of overcoming England to claim the title.
This will be the third time in history that the two teams face each other in the European Championship. In the previous encounters, England first beat Spain 2-1 in the group stage of the 1980 European Championship, then tied Spain 0-0 in the quarter-finals of 1996, eventually winning through a penalty shootout (4-2).
