On July 11, it was revealed that Giannis Antetokounmpo will serve as the flag bearer for Greece’s delegation at this year’s Paris Olympics.
According to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Greek Olympic Committee has confirmed that Giannis Antetokounmpo will carry the flag during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. He will be accompanied by race walker Antigoni Drisbiti. This makes Giannis Antetokounmpo the first black athlete to carry the flag for Greece at the Olympics.
