Real Sociedad has reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Sergio Gómez. The Catalan player has signed a contract with Real Sociedad until 2030.
Sergio Gómez was born on September 4, 2000, in Badalona. After one year at RCD Espanyol’s youth academy, he moved to Barcelona’s La Masia, where he went through all the youth ranks. In 2018, he was signed by Borussia Dortmund, initially playing for their B team but also making his debut for the first team in the same season. He was then loaned out to Huesca for two seasons, helping them gain promotion to La Liga. His impressive performances at Huesca caught the attention of Anderlecht, and following his strong showings in the Belgian league, he transferred to Manchester City in 2022.
As a regular for Spain’s national youth teams, he is currently preparing for the Paris Olympics with the Olympic squad, set to rejoin the team after the conclusion of the Olympics.
Welcome aboard, Sergio!
