On July 10th, the official announcement from BLG Esports Club declared that former RNG champion jungler WEI (Chinese name: Yan Yangwei) has officially joined the club and will be serving as a jungler.
The official announcement reads as follows:
Player Wei boasts exceptional game understanding and superior technical skills. As a jungler, Wei’s style is flexible with outstanding map control abilities. He consistently demonstrates solid performance on stage and excels in crucial matches.
Wei’s career is marked by numerous highlights and achievements. In consecutive years of 2021 and 2022, he won the MSI championship alongside his team, and notably, he was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the 2022 MSI Mid-Season Invitational final.
On July 12th at 19:00, BLG will face TES in their first match of the group stage. Previously, they suffered a round-one exit after losing 1-2 to champions T1 in the e-Sports World Cup; whereas TES lost 1-3 to T1 in the finals, missing out on the title. The two EWC teams will engage in a strong showdown right from their first match in the LPL Summer Split group stage.
