Atlanta midfielder Ederson spoke to Spanish newspaper AS about the speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.
“I am very happy at Atlanta,” Ederson said. “I have just won an important title and I have fully integrated into the team. I am not worried about my future, my focus now is on the Brazilian national team, I want to make a good impression on the coach as this is my first call-up.”
Addressing his future, Ederson added, “I don’t know. I have thought a lot about it. I love Italy, I am adapted to life here, but I am also very interested in the Premier League. I am still growing, so I don’t know if I will stay in Italy. I believe I still have to prove myself, even if I go elsewhere, I will continue to develop.”
Ederson, who turns 25 next month, has made 53 appearances for Atlanta this season, scoring seven goals, helping the team win the Europa League title, finish as runners-up in the Italian Cup, and secure a Champions League spot. Along the way, he featured in Atlanta’s 3-0 away victory over Liverpool in the Europa League quarterfinals.
