In yesterday’s early hours, Spain defeated defending champions Italy 1-0 in their second Euro group match. Spanish youngster Nico Williams, aged 20, contributed with a personal run that led to an own goal.
He was also named Man of the Match. His professional footballer brother Iñaki Williams took to social media after the game to commend Nico, saying, “A cinematic performance, brother. An absolute star boy!”
The Williams brothers, Iñaki and Nico, both play for La Liga club Athletic Bilbao, with Iñaki choosing to represent the Ghana national team, while Nico opted for the Spanish national team.
