On June 28, the Chinese Tennis Association announced the roster for the tennis events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with Zhang Zhizhen, Zheng Qinwen, Yuan Ye, Wang Xinyu, Wang Xiyu, Zhang Shuai, and Zheng Saisai set to participate.
In singles, Zhang Zhizhen secured his spot due to his world ranking and Asian Games men’s singles title. Zheng Qinwen, Yuan Ye, Wang Xinyu, and Wang Xiyu have been included in the women’s singles lineup. For doubles, China’s tennis team will field two women’s doubles pairs: Zhang Shuai (protected ranking 30) / Yuan Ye and Wang Xinyu / Zheng Saisai (protected ranking 46).

The mixed doubles event features only 16 spots, with the highest-ranked pair from the host nation automatically qualifying. The remaining 15 slots will be filled by teams from 15 different countries and regions, based on each team’s combined ranking, making it uncertain at this stage if Zhang Zhizhen and Zheng Qinwen will compete together in the mixed doubles.
The tennis events at the 2024 Paris Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 4 at Roland Garros, marking the first time since the 2012 London Olympics at Wimbledon that the Olympic tennis competition is held at a Grand Slam venue.
