On July 16th, Beijing time, two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova posted on her personal social media thanking the hospital team that helped her have a smooth childbirth. She wrote: “I want to thank the Motol Hospital led by Dr. Chmel and Dr. Čermaková, and most importantly, thank the staff and nurses for their excellent care, you are a great team!”
Petra Kvitova announced her marriage to her coach Jiri on July 22nd last year. Since her exit in the second round of the China Open last October, she has not participated in any WTA event. On New Year’s Day this year, Petra Kvitova announced on her personal social media that she was expecting good news: she would welcome her first child with Jiri this summer.
On July 7th, Petra Kvitova gave birth to a son smoothly. She shared intimate photos of the family of three on her personal social media, receiving blessings from tennis stars including Swiatek, Garcia, and Bencic.
Throughout her career, Petra Kvitova has won a total of 38 singles titles, including 2 Grand Slam titles (Wimbledon 2011, 2014) and 9 WTA 1000-level titles.
